FAQ

Below you will find answers to the questions we get asked the most often.  If you have a question that is not answered below, please contact us or, where applicable, contact your assigned Analyst directly.

Q:  How do I access my reports?
A:  Your WRA analyst will work with you to meet your reporting needs. WRA can post your reports to your web page or can also ftp or email your reports.

Q:  What are the reports that WRA needs in order to start CITLDS on a site?
A:  Copies of recent compliance test information and a recent meter calibraton are required.

Q:  How many days of data does a site need to pass CITLDS?
A:  WRA would like to provide a continuous reconciliation over a 30 day period, but can provide reports with as few as 6 days.

Q:  What are the options for submitting data for SIRA?
A:  In addition to submitting your paper records monthly, one also has the option of submitting data via a secure website or spreadsheet. Call us and we will provide you with instructions for these various options.

Q:  Can I use SIR if I have an Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG)?
A:  Many customers with ATGs use ATG data and sales and delivery data from their back office system to gather the data required for SIRA. Because SIRA can provide monitoring for lines as well as tanks, many ATG customers rely on SIRA to provide leak detection for their entire tank system.

Q:  Is my supplier providing the amount of product they are billing me for?
A:  Customers using WRA‘s Continual Reconciliation System get a very accurate calculation of both the net and gross amount of product delivered into their tanks. They can compare these amounts against the volumes that have been recorded by the supplier on their bills of lading. WRA’s calculated deliveries compensate for temperature effects and elapsed sales that have occurred during the delivery,

Q:  If I am using WRA’s Continual Reconciliation System, how quickly will I be notified of an operational problem with my fueling system?
A:  Every WRA account has a dedicated analyst that oversees your data daily. If you have issues with theft, blend discrepancies, catastrophic meter failure or any other unusual operating condition, this will be brought to your attention.

Q:  My site is so busy I cannot get a satisfactory ATG test result, what are my options?
A:  Unlike conventional gauging systems which have a performance limit of a couple hundred thousand gallons of monthly throughput, WRA’s Continual Reconciliation System is certified for complex active tank systems up to 100,000 gallons in capacity and over 2.7 million gallons in monthly throughput. The system can handle manifolded tank systems as well.

Q:  Do I need any particular brand of tank gauging system or dispensers to do WRA’s Continual Reconciliation System?
A:  WRA’s system can be used with any magnetostrictive ATG and all primary types of dispensers and pump controllers.

Q:  Can WRA help with identifying dispensers out of calibration?
A:  Once we have your tank system properly characterized, WRA will apply it’s patented Meter Drift analysis to identify dispensing positions which are giving away fuel and diminishing fuel margins.

Q:  How do I know if theft is taking place at my sites?
A:  WRA will maintain a record of all unaccounted for removals from your tank system and record these events by date, time, and amount. Many fuel thieves have been caught based upon WRA’s analysis of fuel records.
